The Veil of the Man
Has the eclipse gotten to you too?
From where I am now,
There is an obscure eclipse,
Covering the light.
At least I think, I hope,
There is a light for it to cover.
For if there isn’t,
It will be worse once it is exposed.
It comes in distinctive colors for each person,
Dark red,
Violet,
Black,
Or other shades of blue
But we all share a common view,
We all long for the bright flash of light behind it.
And let your mind set a color for it,
Since it can become whatever your soul desires.
However, don’t quote me on that,
Because what more am I,
Than a minor spectator of the show.
Come watch it sometime.
It is really dramatic and deceitful.
Nonetheless,
I advise you to jump toward that veil that covers your light,
And now you know there is one,
Grab it tight,
Pull it aside,
And let it shine.
