Mixed Feelings
When I first met you, you seemed so perfect.
I saw you as a friend, someone to share my thoughts with.
Then, you revealed your true self to me.
Ouch. That hurt.
How can I describe how you made me feel?
It’s a whirlwind of emotions.
Leaving me gasping for air.
I began to hate you.
And hate you more.
With every hurting word you threw.
Then, what is this?
A look.
A smile.
A feeling of warmth in my heart.
A feeling of love.
Did I really hate you?
You call me beautiful.
You call me kind.
My heart beats inconsistently.
Your presence makes me restless.
I fell for you.
Only to find out.
That you didn’t.
