The Man Alone in The Isle Under the Tree

There he stood in the ocean of green
Standing alone on the isle under the tree
Lost in thought yet found it all
Others passed through the green
Yet he remained still on the pillow of leaves
Time was like the leaves in the isle
Still and fallen
The sun shone down
Highlighting him and his tree
None entered the isle
It was beyond them as they walked by
Only the man alone stood
In the isle under the tree

I was inspired to write this one evening when I saw a man standing in a pool of leaves under a tree. There was something profound that struck me with the imagery of the sun and the pool of leaves beneath him that made me want to write it down.
