Old Victories

Victory comes late-

And is held low to freezing fingers-

As brave as a lion I fight with all my heart,

Life is a rollercoaster on the battlefield,

As I stand on the war grounds I hear “Bang, Bang, Bang”

After the war is over I stand to look over all the dead bodies,

And happiness rises over me as I see my wife and kids walk up to me-

I hug them relieved as they are alive

As the year goes by we start to go back to our normal lives-

I take the kids to school and go to work
