Pretty lies, whispered inside
“You can be thin, skinny, if I control your mind”
But that is all Ana’s disguise

She tricks you into thinking you’re a team
She can be lovely like the sweet nothings
you whisper into your partner’s ear

She can be harsh like a blade that parts the flesh
When you are nothing but your darkest fears

“You’re too fat, I have to be mean”
Ana whispers inside your dreams

Ana holds you tight, and you think it’s an embrace
You think she’s your friend, you crave her familiar face
But it’s a cage, a trap, a leash to your dove
And familiar is not the same as loved

Ana’s hands trail down your sides
Cold shivers run down your spine
“We will have control,” she promises you
But her words don’t carry an ounce of truth

In reality Ana holds the control and you are powerless
She breaks you and leaves you to clean up the mess
Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer
You thought she was your friend
Now you’re not so sure

Ana’s words are so assuring
The pounds you lose is so alluring
"Skip dinner, wake up thinner"
"Feel the hunger, you are stronger”
“You, my darling, are a winner”

Pretty lies, whispered inside
“You have control, power, you are mine”
But that is only Ana’s disguise
