“In the endpoint there is nothing but being, no time but the present.” -R. Akiva Tatz

Bleeding lip

Lost all grip

Cheeks wet from too much care

Knots of repression in her hair

Eyes of desperation

Last breath, exasperation

Hands that trembled once with fear

That was her last tear

Cover her with the cloth of the end

No longer will she have to bend

Went too far and she broke

Now say goodbye, one last stroke

Of that face you once knew

Send her off in the sinking canoe

Don’t let her return

You know you have something you yearn

Follow your path now and don’t look back

You know now that soon you’ll no longer lack

All you need is you

Go forward and start everything new
