Depression
The sun shines brighter than ever
Yet I am still gloomy.
People pass me by and smile
Yet I can’t look at them.
Nothing is wrong in my life
Yet everything seems to be wrong
Today is pretty much perfect
Yet everything seems to be falling apart
The sun shines brighter than ever
And I am ecstatic
People pass me by and smile
And my eyes light up when I meet theirs
Nothing is wrong in my life
And nothing can go wrong
Today is pretty much perfect
And this feeling will never go away
Yet the feeling does go away
It’ll never stay for more than a day
Instead depression stays and makes herself at home
She stays for as long as she wants
And never truly leaves
