Alive
How do you know when you're alive? Is it when you feel a shiver down your spine as you see love? Is it when you're so scared you think your going to die, but you love Every. Single. Second? When you feel so strong, it's almost like you can't remember how broken you've been? When you're screaming out the truth, lights blinding but you just can't bear to stop? Choking on your fears but managing to swallow them? Taking the first leap into something new and beautiful? Passion takes over, wailing into the abyss with no response but You. Just. Can't. Quit? Feeling so numb you don't even know what you want to feel? When you've forgotten everything and are lost? Caring so much, standing up, shouting, howlling for what you believe in? When you are becoming a person you don't even know? When the trees talk and the river sings, when you feel honestly inspired? When you are picked up off of the ground and put back together again? Is it when something so unbelievable happens you almost believe it? Is it when fear stops your heart... but you are stronger? To be alive is to genuinely live, not be afraid. To laugh after a crisis, let our tears out, to feel emotion. To be braver, stronger, more confident than you could ever believe. Fighting for what you love and never letting it go for anyone. I used to be lost, but I found myself. Finding out about your passions, the way you express yourself, and liberating yourself of the chains you've had on for so long. When we face our fears, breakaway, feel emotion, we will truly be living. We may have yell and fight but its excitingly gorgeous, slowly drawing us in and we never want to leave because we feel everything and we are free. We will never conform. We are finding ourselves. I've been alive for a awhile but im finally learning what it's like to live.
