The Unfortunate Scene
Reams of sunlight filtered through cracks in the ceiling
Shelves stacked tall and high, in perfect order
Coffee gone cold
Books with scratches, worn at the seams
The desk immaculate, put together
Pencil shavings, eraser crumbs littered the surface
The mirror covered with scratches and some type of paint
A knife, glistening, shining
A man in a pressed suit and shined shoes
A deep crimson gash, dripping
Staining the library floor

This piece comes to me as a reflection of all the novels I read and as a murder mystery
