Back to Being Young

When I was younger,
I wanted to get older.
But now, I miss being young.
Back then, there were no chores for me to do.
No lawns to mow or dogs to walk.
Not a care in the world.
I could dream up anything-
Pirates, dinosaurs, and dragons-
And believe them to be true.
I was running on my own schedule,
And nobody told me otherwise.
