There’s many different versions of me that you see

Some you can talk to and socialize with

Others you can’t see because of self consciousness or some other thing

For example, here’s two main versions of me that you see at school and one at home

The one who can speak fluent English and who’s name is pronounced as “ee-man-you-el”

And then there’s the other me that speaks Spanish and pronounces his name as “eh-mán,-wel”

There also exists other variations of me

The Emanuel who’s in student council and strives to be a leader

The one that the staff and teachers pets favor

To be honest, it gets boring being that Emanuel

Don’t get me wrong, I wanna be a leader that people can look up to

But we all gotta have some fun at some point, right?

We can’t forever be someone that we’re not.

I can’t continue the agonizing cycle of being a “model student” forever

I prefer being another version of myself

The Emanuel who jokes around a lot

The one that wants to put a smile on people’s faces

Because life’s a whole rollercoaster of tragedy

And we need something to remind us that there’s still hope

I want to be that person

Then there’s the final version of me that nobody sees who I call a storyteller

The Emanuel who’s writing a story to use for a TV show

The Emanuel who’s notebooks are filled with character designs and plot details

The Emanuel who’s Google Drive contains short stories that connect into one bigger story

And last but not least

The Emanuel who practices animation so that his dreams can become reality

I wanted to use this piece of writing to express things about myself that nobody really sees about me.
