I am
I'm so privileged to have a home that keeps me safe and comfortable.
I'm so privileged to have a home that keeps me safe.
I'm so privileged to have a home that keeps me.
I'm so privileged to have a home.
I'm so privileged to have.
I'm so privileged to be.
I'm so privileged.

I wrote this when a typhoon was coming to my country and I was just in my home doing the same routinary things as if it were a bright sunny day. By highlighting every bit of declaration in the first statement, I've made sentences about different kinds of sufferings. I hope that people who will read this were able to think deeply into the stories behind each sentence; to remember how much we can be thankful for so that we do not disregard life so easily.
Some people have homes that don't make them feel comfortable, or safe. Some homes don't even want them there. Some have lost theirs, either by natural calamities, or personal tragedies. Some don't have anyone else to call home. Sometimes we're so privileged to even just "Have" things because some have nothing... not even hope.
But if you're alive, and you're still able to be then you still have hope because some people already feel like they've lost their purpose or their capabilities; being dead inside is no different from the real thing.
Privilege is a wall that can numb us from empathizing with the people around us. They have realities that are far different from ours. But privilege can be a ladder of hope too; it can allow us to help them out of the holes they're trapped in. It's up to you on what to do, all I know is I'm so privileged.
