Over a cold blue sea time fractures,
Blistering into silver shards, sinking
Into unknown kelp, lost depths and sand,
Hours and minutes trickling, seconds twinkling -

And the ocean, roaring, soft, velvet
A thousand things concealed in brine,
Catches away the lost years, the lost time,
And makes these memories mine.

Like a forgotten window cloaked in dust,
Or metal machinations concealed by rust,
The dark unspoken struggles come flowing back -
The triumphs, the tears – then fade into black.
