Falling Up
There’s an age long battle to redo the done
Yet like dogs leashed, we are chained to the tock
We stretch to the past, wishing we’d won
And turn our fronts to the impossible

Clocks twist backwards as time looses meaning
Brown fades to green as old trees sprout
 Mountains growing, new towers leaning
Snow un-melts and rain falls up

Harsh fingers that had pulled away
An empty hand that longed to be hugged
I wish to return, fighting the fray
Unraveling lives that choose to live
