If you knew what I listen to
If you knew what I listen to
If mom knew what I listen to, it would be the end of my days
I’ll be stuck in my room forever, even if I got straight A’s

She’d think I was degrading myself
She’d say it is bad for my mental health
 She’d look at me different
She’d say she raised me better

I’d say the music understands me more than you can
The music I listen to relates to teens
But the track is never the same when it’s clean

The music I listen to talks about sex, money and drugs
Oh no mom but don’t worry I won’t turn into a thug
It’s addictive I sadly admit, I’m not going to lie
But it’s a safe High, The way I get by

This MUSIC is a necessity to me as if it was water or food
You would say that’s probably the reason I’m in a bad mood
That it’s deluding my mind, but if you had a clue

You would take the time and listen
This is the stuff I live for you don’t know what you’re missing
