Across the room miles away
She stared at me like I was in the wrong place
Wildfire eyes that could engulf me in flames
An innocence falls as I am to blame
All for what I didn’t do
All for what I gave him a taste of
His strings are all he has known
His heart remains so full of love
All because I was gentle and sweet
You struck a match to your boiling jealousy
Well I’ve never tasted your poison
But you will when he up and leaves
