it's almost time for bed

so last words must be said

i will have to say good by

tho truly with a sigh

i must say my good night

and leave out of sight

but i promise for another day

wen i can stay awake and say

when night's turn to day

and the moon is at bay

when my parents are asleep

yes a sleep oh so very deep

wen i will talk the night through

and hope the intent company wont sue

and cut the cable

right off the table

but tonight's not the night

tonight i take flight

to the place were i sleep
