The Darkness

The Darkness burned inside
The voices within cried
Fogging up my mind
Keeping me blind
The Darkness grew throughout
Yet my mind was in a drought
Devoid of emotion
Yet my body stayed in motion
Then there was a light
Then there was you
You ended my plight
You gifted me with life anew
The Darkness shrank
The voices went silent
And I have you to thank
Your love is reliant

My boyfriend inspired me to write this piece. Before I met him I was in a dark place. I was just going through the motions of my daily life never really feeling anything. Then I met him, and he allowed me to feel something again. He saved me.
