the journey
My heart was full at the beginning of this journey
Each tear wept was what emptied me
 As the days went by
I could do nothing but cry
When I thought things were getting better
I was reminded of what made me shudder
I found out the worse possible thing
And it had the most unbelievable sting
 I hid it well
But only I myself can tell
 You fooled me so
With the emotions rushing in to bring me so low
I loved you with all my heart
But I should’ve known that was too much for you to handle from the start
At the unrelentless end of this journey alone
I have no else to love but me
An empty heart is what I’ve been gifted
But the wish to fill it with your love is my final plea.
