Small White House
I find myself in my small white house
We have a big blue door
and ugly carpeted floor
We have bright green stairs
littered with large, brown stuffed bears
We have and endless supply of children's books
and clothes hanging up on little hooks
We have a basement with toys all over the floor
and the long apron my mom once wore
We have a kitchen thats pure white
The oven, the fridge the counters too
We have a living room is pure green
The couch the carpet and chairs too
We have laundry piles
and chipped bright yellow tiles
We have food on the table
and a crying baby in the cradle
We have a small purple sand box
and my squeaky bright pink flip flops
We have a crazy dog
running outside in the early morning fog
We have wishes for something more,
to one day walk outside that big blue door
to the bright fresh green grass,
Only to find ourselves with anything more
To find ourselves far, far away
From this small white house
