Chilled
Falling down softly.
A little girl runs alongside the deer.
The brisk air chilled her to the bone,
As she ran back to mama.
It was so cold that even the foxes hid from the chilly wind.
The snow kept falling and falling and falling and falling till it hit the frozen ground.
The little girl returned to mama only to find no one there.
She searched and searched, through even the deepest snow.
Wondering where mama went.
She wandered for years,
Still no sight of mama.
The little girl was little no more as she continued her search.
She traveled for years and years through constant falling snow.
She fell down, down, down and she encountered a deep, dark hole one day.
She found mama.
Mama was no longer alive
She had not survived the harsh cold.
The girl laid her mama down and watched over her,
As her own days faded away.
She laid in that snow
As it fell, fell down from the sky
Fell down from the heavens.
As it covered her and mama.
