Forest
Found in the forest,
Ear against the ground,
Listening for the chorus,
Listening for some sounds
The wind comes rolling in,
The other children run,
The breeze touching their skin,
But it leaves no marks, none
Still I try to hear,
But another gust may come in I fear,
It’s stabbing on my eardrum, as if it
were thrown like a spear
I remember now why I keep going,
When the sounds are never showing,
That’s the last place I felt at ease, and
Since then, I know not where I am going

I was inspired to write this by Robert Frost's works. I wanted to emulate his style and I did by writing this. A nature theme, different rhyming schemes, and personification are the main aspects of Frost's work that I focused on emulating.
