Her demons haunting
Causing trouble in her time.
Traumatized family, friends, future.
Conductors of evil cramped begging to be free.
The brawler of the brute takes this battle,
To finally conquer her fears.
The fight was on its way,
Been preparing for
Days, Months, Years.

Champion of death has won against the monster before,
Now it’s time again.
She walks into the room of fate,
Her armor under her arm.
Knifes, rope, drugs.

Trapped in the glass,
Tears fall, tapping the tile of the floor.
One pill,
Two pill,
Three pill,
Four.
Time to play the waiting game.
A rush of emotions all over the devil’s chamber.
Questions queued through her mind,
Was this fight about to be ended once and for all?
Who would open the door?
Who would find
Her parasite’s body?
What would happen when--

This was from an assignment where we were required to write an epic poem. I chose my hero/monster to be the same person, which sets mine apart.
