Dark Heart

My soul has long since vanished
Amidst the mist of my own darkness
I wander amongst the withered trees
Those that used to be my dreams
And sit by a pond of scarlet red
As my heart fills it with my dread
A scorching feeling gnaws at my heart
And shortly after the blackened sky falls apart
Expressing feelings I no longer know
Letting the darkness weep and grow
All the while in silence I stand
Watching my life fall from my hands
