Memories
You are reminded, as your senses seem to have brought your memories to think about a once familiar, yet faraway place.
You were seated down, board as could be, with your thoughts adrift in the cloud’s.
You remember your high school years, with all your friends, and all your entertaining times, and thrilling moments.
You stumbled across the thought, when you would feel the rough, tough, and eroded surface of the rock wall that we would all sit on before the beginning of school.
You could have also looked up, and have seen the dark brown mountains kiss the light blue sky, followed will a few white fluffy clouds.
You could hear the sounds of birds as they fly above you. There are a few perched to trees and they sing there melodies to one another, as if they were communicate through there different chirps.
You remember the taste the dry, saltiness of sand being blown into your face by a constant breeze.
You can smell of the water deprived ground, and the distinct crisp smell that sand has.
You could imagine, the once far away planet we called earth, where all these things existed before we abandon it to look for a new home, somewhere out in the cold, dark, depths of the stars.
