Redline
Sitting in the front seat,
Hand on the wheel, foot on the pedal,
Five hundred horses, made of metal,
Listening to the whistle of the razor-sharp breeze,
Feeling like a bird, flying through empty streets.
Ear-shattering sound of the engine whining,
Where “loud” and “soothing” come together, intertwining.
The never-ending road, smooth like a calm ocean,
As if the world outside is moving in slow motion,
Arousing your senses and emotions,
Eliminating all of life’s commotions.
Speed, going faster than lightning,
As you feel your grip tightening
On the wheel, taking absolute control,
Steering life’s course, wherever it may go.
