Shy Thoughts
Therefore our thoughts are forever kept untold.
Mortified masks hide our ambition,
They stay far from altercations that others may behold.
Voices transform to timid creatures, becoming old.
Trepadized, words lock away from recognition,
Our thoughts are forever kept untold
They wonder if they shall ever grow bold,
Yet they never act without permission,
So they stay far from altercations that others may behold.
They live their lives trapped in a sponge-like hold,
Soaking in, never releasing the unwritten.
For our thoughts are forever kept untold.
The creatures of the night refuse to be controlled.
Revealing their mind is their newly formed mission.
Don’t they stay far from altercation that others may behold?
Stories, dreams, and theories?—?forced out like the common cold.
They no longer caress our rules, wishes, our highly sheltered vision.
For our thoughts are forever kept untold.
They stay far from altercation that others may behold.
