The Call
We got the call, and so we cried,
It was an eerie winter's night
I could not believe you had died.
All those doctors had lied,
Because you will never be in our sight,
We got the call, and so we cried.
It seems now you are the tide
In the lake and the love in the light,
I could not believe you had died,
Now she is sick and she tried
To stay strong and fight,
We got the call and so we cried.
With two of you gone, we take the ride
of life all alone, without your mite,
I could not believe you had died.
On frigid frightening nights I secretly confide
In your spirits, But never feel all right,
We got the call and so we cried,
I could not believe you had died.
