For him, first to laugh, and always last to end,
For her, without whom I’d never begin,
For him who reminds me that I’m not immortal,
For her who scolds us for being immoral.
For him, who told me always to strive,
For her, who taught me to stay alive,
For him, who speaks nothing but still is strong,
For her, who must teach us to all get along.
For me, who praises you, mistakes and all
For me, who teaches you just when to fall,
For me, who will tell you that the world is alright,
When I don’t believe, I’ll still tell you to fight.
