For You
I refuse to give you my heart, till I know it’s gone from me to you.
I refuse to fall in love, when my heart isn’t mended.
I refuse to give myself to you, till I know its right.
I lust you; I know I do
I like you more than a friend, and so do you.
You make my heart skip a beat; my pulse runs wild when you say sweet things.
I’m only 17, you know this; you understand me like no other.
I know I don’t love you.
I won’t tell you till I really do know, and I’m not blinded by lust.
I’m confusing my hormones for feelings.
These feelings are new to me; he never made me feel this way.
You are one of a Kind.
You got my heart racing, my blood pumping.
My head is spinning from seeing you smile.
You drum, I strum, you hum, I sing.
Only separated by oceans, though it feels like you’re beside me.
This poem ends here; leave it a mystery; that will never be solved.
