You can take lives.
You torture anyone who survives.
You are deep and wild,
Underneath the surface it’s a bit more mild.
The crashing can still hurt like knives.
The pain thrives.
Once you are revealed,
Most stay away, even the wonder child.
With such beautiful lies,
Stepping in is usually unwise.
You cause so much emotion
With all the commotion.
All the salt you contain burns eyes,
Making tons of cries.
You’re always in motion,
Sometimes harmonic motion.
Some find you beautiful;
Others find you unusual.
If you notice,
You are the ocean.
