Who would I be?
The world is swarming with people,
But I am my own person in the end.
It feels like I am shaped into a mold and boxed into a cage,
Dragging myself to meet every trend.
It's like being a pyramid,
In a world full of cubes.
A neon shade among pastel colors,
Are we all meant to be dupes?
When I stare at my reflection,
I see a million bumps and spots across my face.
You might see freckles or nothing at all,
But that shouldn't mean I have nothing to embrace.
An ordinary white shirt can be so different,
One might fit you perfectly and glide like a glove.
And the other defines many the layers of my stomach,
But that shouldn't mean my body isn't any worthy of love.
It can be so easy to be never be good enough for the outsiders eye,
But your uniqueness is never something to hide.
There's always something special,
That you'll find deep down inside.
The truth is,
Being different is what makes me complete.
Because who would I be,
If you weren't any different than me?

This poem is meant to resonate with everyone who always feels like they are struggling to fit in with the world. However it also conveys how we should embrace and love our differences because that's what makes us special and unique and moreover who we are.
