Bahay
Homes get messy, broken down, fixed, empty
Not only that but it heals one's soul
Lately, it's been crowded, plenty
I've fallen into a rabbit hole
A closet full of things each of us shoved in
With no thought or care in the world
Objects placed in a box like a kitten
Waiting to be picked up and twirled
This home of mine is in disarray
The warmth of love keeps me at bay
The bed placed in the living room
Calls us to come as one
Maybe to bicker, reminisce, chitter
The fun has just begun
The universal language
Which we call laughter is home
Words that give life to the moon
Dances where it roams
Love and comfort remain ablaze
There comes a transformation phase
But for now, let’s call it a day
