2022 Traditions Contest: An Untraditional Education
They say no two families are the same
And I wholeheartedly agree
For there’s more than just the looks and name
That make up a family
Mine taught me subjects of all kind
In a very unique way
From frogs, to food, to books assigned
My curiosities never kept at bay
Literature listened to in the car
History over the dinner table
Ancient animals bizarre
Algebra in long lines if able

This piece for the contest was inspired by my family's unique interests. Both my parents and my twin are all well-read in their own subjects, and just by being around them, I've picked up on bits of their expertise. Ever since I was little, I've been exposed to such topics, enough so that both my fascinations and that of my family have become engrained in our own traditions.
