My restless thoughts waken me.
The white tipped waves shake my vessel in the sea of sleep into consciousness.
I long for peace, for understanding but I'm granted with neither;
only the turmoil of decisions grace my brain.
Your face flits through my head and fills me with fear.
Though I want to predict the future, I'm afraid of those implications.
The countless "What if's?" linger without leaving me in peace.
All I want is peace.
Why can't you give me that?
