It was you and me forever,

you told me every day.

But I guess that you’ve forgotten,

that you promised me you’d stay.

You said you’d never leave me,

and I didn’t think you’d lie,

but the words that grace your lips now  

sound exactly like “Goodbye”.

So here I stand so lonely,

as you hold another’s hand,

waiting for the day that

you’ll come back and understand

that you and me are special;

we have something you won’t find,

and one day you’ll look back and miss

the one you left behind.

In my heart I know it’s over,

that you and me are through,

but I have no clue how to live

when I’m not next to you.
