The sleepover...
I laugh I smile I giggle with glee
As I pack my bags and get ready to go
My clothes practically run into my bag
I run around the house bubbling with joy
My mom waits with a look that says oh boy
I just smile as I run into the car
My mom grabs my bags as I start to run
Inside the house my jitters pass
I see all my friends with huge smiles cast,
I start to droop as my mom tells me it’s time for her to leave.
As everyone heads upstairs and my stuff, I start to retrieve
As I talk, chat, and learn to laugh
All my jitters begin to pass
The sleepover room is very cool
Thinking about food I start to drool
I don’t remember much of what happened next
Just the small talk to my friends
But i was preoccupied with my pizza slice
oh , it tasted so very nice
Later that night we started to play a game
Filled with many dares and much fright
We stayed up all night
One dare lead us to the basement…
As we head down slowly
The stairs scream beneath our feet
Creak, Creak, Creak,
Grabbing a few masks we start to run
Until we see a beast staring right at us…
We scream and try to run but the door won’t budge
Our screams become muted by meows
As our kitty friend appear from beneath the mask
We sigh as we are safe at last
We see her parents with looks of terror cast
As we explain the events of the night with a hint of fudge
We go back up the basement steps
The stairs laughing beneath our feet
Creak, Creak, Creaks
As i follow in my friends footsteps
I laugh, I smile, I giggle with glee
As I pack my bags and get ready to go
My clothes practically run into my bag
I run to the car bubbling with joy
My mom asks me if I had fun
As to the car I run

I love spending time with friends and family so having sleepovers was something common, but this was one of my first friend sleepovers ever. I was nervous and excited for obvious reasons but would love to go back to this day in a heartbeat. It brings me back to the good old days and I hope it brings you back as well. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!
