UnHallowed
The man falls down crying and screaming, trying to figure out what is wrong with himself. It’s like a seperate being is attempting to control his body. For now, he can force it back. He can stop it for now, but each time it comes back, it comes back stronger, better equipped to fight him than the last time. He goes for a walk in order to calm himself down and clear his mind. It was a rather peaceful walk. Everything was going well as if nothing had happened, but deep down inside, the man was fighting a war far worse than anything than the world has ever faced. A being so vile and malevolent, that no one could understand what it was capable of.
The man goes to a doctor to talk about this strange being, but the doctor would not listen. At one point, the doctor threatened to send the man to a psych ward. The man stressed that he was not crazy and that the being was real and that he needed help. The doctor again, would not listen. Angered, the man was beginning to feel dizzy. He then blacked out. When he woke up, he was at home. He did not know what happened and just decided to shrug it off and not worry about it. About a week later, the being still tugging at the man’s soul like a rope, there was a crime that happened on the news. The same doctor that the man went to for help was found brutally dismembered and dead. There was a message written in blood in the office he had worked in saying, ‘Only a matter of time.’ They said that he was killed around the same time that the man blacked out. The man gulped and started to sweat. Could he be the killer? No, that’s crazy. Right? He had never done anything like that his entire life. It couldn’t have been him, could it? He was just a normal guy, and he had nothing against the doctor.
A while later, his wife comes home. Their relationship has been quite rocky these past few months. The man has had about enough of her. They begin to fight over why the man hasn’t done anything around the house and that he’s lazy and is a good-for-nothing. Things were being thrown and a few choice words were being said. All of a sudden, the man had another blackout. He woke up in his bed, but his wife was nowhere to be found. He called for her, but no response. Assuming she had already went to work, he went to the bathroom to clean himself up. When he opened up the bathroom door, his mouth dropped in pure fear. He sees his wife’s head sitting in the bathtub, blood spread everywhere like as if someone were painting a very messed up picture. He looked at himself through the mirror to see that there was dried-up blood on his shirt and hands. This couldn’t be happening. How did something like this even happen? The man was completely normal, or so he thought. This must be the work of that being that he was trying to talk to the doctor about. The man turns to the wall and sees a message inscribed in blood. ‘I control you now.’ What does that mean? Was this the being trying to talk to the man? He decided to take another walk. He really needed to clear his head at this point. What has happened to him? What’s going on? There were so many thoughts racing through the man’s mind right now, his head was spinning like a top.
As the man was walking, he turns down an alleyway and gets stopped by two suspicious looking men. They both pull out guns and demand that the man empty his pockets. Trembling, the man slowly walked backwards, where he was stopped by two more men with guns. The man told the thieves to stay away if they wanted to live, but the thieves weren’t buying it. One of them shot the man in the left abdomen. Blood spewed out from the man’s mouth. The man began to black out yet again.
This time he felt the presence of the unknown being take over him before he blacked out. When he woke up. He was in the same alleyway, only now the alleyway was covered with blood. Not his blood, the blood of the four crooks. He noticed in the corner the bodies of the thieves. They were all chopped up like hamburger. The police soon arrive as they gasp in horror on the onslaught that has just occured. They see the man covered head-to-toe in blood. They see a message written in blood stating, ‘You’re next.’ Immediately, the police tell him to get down on the ground, or they will open fire. The man, now lost to the being, laughs maniacally. The man tells the cops that he has changed, and that even if they tried to kill him, they would not succeed. The cops looked at each other with wide eyes, shaking with guns in their hand, not knowing what this insane man meant. A crimson aura appears around the man as he looks towards the police with a insane look in his now bloodshot eye and a murderous intent in his mind. “Why don’t I just give you a demonstration?” said the man in a dark, low, and scratchy voice. That day, there was yet another bloody message out in the street written in the policemen’s blood for all passers by to see. ‘Catch me if you can…’
