Alice Part 1
Alice Wetherland was, in short, a child of the darkness. As a child she was hidden from the world. Her abilities were not accepted by the people on the outside. Her parents also knew that she would be regarded as some sort of evil. Little Alice was born with ice blonde hair and nearly white skin. Her parents knew that their daughter was special. But, they also knew that the outside world would be a danger to their beloved daughter.
They raised her in their home in the forest. As she grew older her parents taught her about her gift. They decided to teach her about all the things she would need to continue the family legacy.
Her mother would take her on walks through the trees. Alice met the people with the glowing red eyes and the large wolves that wandered through the foliage. She even met people who had wings that sparkled. The winged people were her favorite. They taught her the art of deception and even let her observe the way that they would lure hunters into their grasp.
Alice’s parents were renowned sorcerers and she had been given the same dark gift that her parents had. Alice’s parents could control the shadows, twisting and turning them, to form their enemies worst fears. She was given the ability to infiltrate a person’s mind.
At the age of five she decided to visit the red eyed people in the woods without her mother. She knew all of them, so when she ran into a strange woman who possessed the red eyes she was curious. As soon as she opened her mouth to speak the lady lunged at her fangs bared. Alice screamed and guarded her face with her hands. After several seconds without being attacked she looked to the ground and saw the woman curled on the ground with her hands over her ears.
Alice touched the woman's arm and wondered what she had done. When the woman looked at Alice and screamed at her, saying things about how she saw fire and her own death. These were the woman’s worst fears. Alice did not know the extents to her gift yet. She knew she could see people’s thoughts, but did not know that she could plant images into their minds.
This was when Alice realized she could do whatever she wanted. Just a simple little image could cause people to crumble to the ground in fear. She would use this to her advantage. The legacy would end with her. She would not allow anyone to outdo her. She would be the greatest sorceress of all time and she would rule this land alone.
