All right. So, you’re probably wondering who I am and why I’m here. Well, here it goes. I’m just a normal kid like you. My name’s Elizabeth. I’m 13 years old. I worry about how I look, what I wear, if my makeup is perfect. I also hate school. The food tastes like my grandpa’s meat loaf, the lockers are small, and the teachers are lame. All of that. I’m just a normal girl. Except that I have a bully. Sounds crazy right? Well in this school, it isn’t.
What’s his name you ask? His name is Billy. Ironic right? Billy? Bully so, he’s a typical kind of bully. He beats up kids, shoved them in lockers, and takes their money. He wouldn’t be so bad, if he weren’t a ten foot beast! Whenever he’s in the hall when I am, I try to hide the best I was sitting in class bored out of my mind and, I fell asleep in the middle of class. The bell rang in my ears. It sounded like thunder. I jolted up my head s my heart raced. I almost fell over. I felt ridiculous. I walked out of class when Billy bumped into me. I froze in my path. I ran to the trashcan in the hall and hid behind it hoping he wouldn’t see me. And of course, Billy saw me. He cracked his knuckles and yanked me out of the corner. His black jacket smelled of blood and sweat.
“You think you can run into me and get away with it?” Billy yelled.
He started pushing me around I fell to the floor. I tried not to cry. He threw me against the wall. Crash! He called me names and said I was weak and useless still holding me against the locker. He punched and kicked me. The taste of blood swam around in my mouth. It tasted bitter. No one even dared to help me out. He took my money, and then shoved me in a locker. The bell rang and I was stuck there. I could barely breathe. I yelled at the top of my lungs for someone to get me out. Finally, a teacher opened the locker. He gasped. He saw that I had a lot of bruises, cuts, and bumps. He took me to the nurse, then a few minutes later to the office. The principle asked me questions, and I answered them. She asked who did this to me. I told them Billy. She didn’t look surprised.
“Do you want me to send you home?” the principle asked.
“No. I don’t want to miss school over minor injuries.” I replied.
“All right, but if anything is bothering you,” she said, “come tell me.”
She gave me a pass, and let me go. I found my best friend, Jack, in 6th period. He frowned and said that I look like I have a chip on my shoulder. I told him that Billy did this. We were getting tired of Billy… The last bell rang for us to go home. My parents saw what happened to me…They said I should be more careful. I was in shock. They didn’t even care! Probably because they didn’t want to get in contact with the school…again. I was furious! I marched upstairs and slammed my door. I thought had to deal with this for the rest of the school year and they didn’t even care! I cried to myself. After a few minutes, I got myself together, and went downstairs to eat. Then I went to bed I had trouble sleeping. It’s not an easy thing to handle.
The next day, I was really sore. I could barely make it downstairs. I ate captain crunch, then left to get on the bus. My best friend was on the bus in the back. I sat next to him. I told him I could barely get up this morning because it hurt so badly. We were getting mad. We’re tired of Billy.
If we don’t do something now, then Billy will never stop. We arrived at school and I got off the bus. I ran right through everyone to first period. No Billy. I went to second period. No Billy. He never showed from first period through sixth period. Seventh period is when he came. He walked right through everyone. They ether got out of the way, or got trampled. He paused right in front of me. I had to look up at him. His brown eyes where angry. As fast of a blink of an eye, he took me by the neck and slammed me into the wall. That was the last straw.
Without thinking twice, I punched him in the face as hard as I could. He dropped me with shock. I screamed and ran into him. I punched, I kicked, and I slammed him into the wall over and over again. Kids cheered me on. He tried to stop me, but couldn’t. The last thing I did before I was out of breath was whisper in his ear.
“How does it feel?” I asked.
He lost it. He cried. He bawled. He was laughed at by everyone in the halls. He got up and ran. He was about half way down the hall when he tripped. They laughed even louder. The laughter roared in Billy’s ears. He got up and ran even faster wile crying the whole way. One minute I was proud of myself. The next minute, I was in the office. The principle and administrator yelled in my ears. I sat there like a statue. I was so scared. There was a woman panicking to get a phone call. Probably to call my parents. This happened for about five minutes. Soon there was a screech of a car. My parents rushed in and started yelling at me too. I was in for it this time. I felt like I was about to cry. Everyone calmed down and went silent.
“Elizabeth, you don’t go beating up kids to get out your problems! What were you thinking?” cried the principle.
“I was tired of him always beating me up and calling me names. I wanted to change all that. I got him back.”
Then they started to explain to do things a civilized way, by talking things out. So I did get hurt, but I got to beat up the meanest kid in school, people think I’m cool, and Billy never bullied me again. He even apologized! That was awesome. I did get grounded though, but it was all worth it.
