Summary: Alec is an attractive, confident, and ignorant teen who lives in a quarantined society who has to live indoors because of the extreme weather conditions outside. Reese is a beautiful, strong-willed, independent, fiery-tempered, and smart teen who lives on a seemingly normal island where everything is controlled and perfect. She has never left the island because of deadly creatures lurking in the water and land beyond. These are their realities, or so they are told. When one day they meet by chance, they start to realize that things aren't always what they seem, and start to figure out the truth of the place they call home and where they really are.
