Of Spiders and Other Such Things
This is to my fellows here on this earth:
You treat us as if we do not exist.
You look upon us with no mirth.
  By you, we’re merely dismissed.
Into our lives, you’ve placed an anchor,
You wish to keep us stationary in our misery.
You are blinded by ignorance and misplaced rancor
No matter how hard we try to help you see.
To us, you’ve only ever lied.
You tread upon our lives as if they’re a footpath.
You suppress us, repress us, and cast us aside,
Yet you don’t suspect to incur our wrath.
No longer will we back down without a word or sound.
We will never submit. We will stand our ground.
