Favorite Quote:
When words fail, music speaks.

I’ve awoken in a nightmare, of a paradoxical
world
Where everyone lives to see if life holds more terrible
things
And releasing my hopes, My hands
unfurled,
Breathing and exploring a land made of broken
wings

The rain is pouring down on the city
below
It’s darkened drops envelop everything in
sight
Making streams of colors paint the land like a
Van Gogh
And filling the hearts of the hardened, like a
blight
The sky and city wrap me in its
chain

I wonder if this world is even part of my
dreams
As I’m sinking down slowly, drowning in this
rain
Droplets form on the window, and slide down in
streams

Pain and sorrow lingers in the
air
Hopeless faces seems to be
ubiquitous
And those with a gleam receive a
glare.
With a simple pat, a child’s dream is stripped of its
significance.

But In the darkness, he lets go to scream and cry
And in the end, with a simple jump, he’s out of the lie.

I was inspired by Gerard Way's song, Brother. The song is also about the "city rain" but I wanted to focus on the darker portion of it.
