War - A Perspective
The ties of humanity, a bond no longer shared
Blood; no salvation, hands guilty of innocent death,
Man the deadliest murderer, immoral mind bared
Mast of time retribution lost, war and agony crept.
Age no longer a barrier, the young the old all alike
Eyes take in horror while lips move in solemn silence,
Million dead shells bear witness, for bombs do strike
Strom stirred deep within, the end rooted in violence.
Masked from sight, unknown where the enemy lies
Clear ice is what it is, but a cloud of ignorance blocks,
Near Past History says it all ; lies unchanged as time flies
A prophecy untold, such that the world in entity rocks.
Alas! Infiltration of human soul, darkness within soared
Epitome of creation, yet destruction brought aboard.

Mankind considers itself to be the ultimate creation, in other words the most advanced of all the species. But it seems that no matter what level of advancement we reach, violence is embedded in our very core and innocent death is mandatory with every passing generation.
