Fish in the Sea
Who am I to thank for this great pleasure?
Surely someone above smiles upon me,
This is a true blessing I know for sure,
It has brought new light for my eyes to see
As one day you descended upon me
Like an eagle, dragged me from the bore.
For I was but a fish in the vast sea-
You caught me and dragging me to the shore,
Yet when you pulled me out I gasped for air
Choking, sputtering, you left me, laughing,
you walked away, how did this become fair.
I found myself stranded with nothing.
the sea closes, consuming me, returning
Me home yet I will continue yearning.
