'Til Death and Drowning Do Us Part

He looks over the white cliffs of Dover,
And is reminded of those few days when
He thought of none but his stunning lover:
A young lass he’d seen dancing with the men
She met with him on the eve’ of that ball,
Her hair shining as fine as spun gold thread.
Into a thick, heady love they did fall,
Passion changed the lives they had both lead.
But one day he found her with a for’gner
Both stranger’s and his love’s life he expunged
Now, dressed in black as though set to mourn her
Into the depths with his lass he did plunge.
