The Suns Word
The everlasting moon that always shines
A sight that is accompanied by stars
The low lantern crafted by the divines
Surrounded by both Jupiter and Mars
Craters tracing the outlines of her face
For only I know she stares back at me;
The others are too intrigued with their pace
No one can see the promised eternity
A show left unwatched; her dance in the sky
From new to full, she grows each passing night
Under the pale light roars a battle cry
So she quiets the night, an unseen sight
But a promise cut short by the preferred,
Rehashing the chaos, the Sun’s word
