AP English

Once upon a time not so long ago
Kozel used to teach English class
  Temps been on high
  Sweat dripping down my head…
  It’s rough, so rough
We take a test every day
  Writing with her pen,
She makes us not want to stay
  No more, no more

We say, “We’ve gotta guess on the test we’ve got.
It doesn’t make a difference if we study or not.
We talk to each other in a room that’s hot.
For her we’ll look at the clock.
  [Chorus:]
  Whoa, we’re half way there
  Whoa, breathin’ with no air
Take the test and we’ll fail it – I don’t care
  Whoa, this class isn’t fair
Kozel’s got her six shoes and socks
  Now we’re sitting in
What is used to melt a rock
  So rough, it’s rough
We all dream of running away
When she yells at the class
  We whisper,
  “Maybe we’ll be okay, someday…
…We’ve gotta guess on the test we’ve got.
It doesn’t make a difference if we study or not.
We talk to each other in a room that’s hot.
For her we’ll look at the clock.”
  [Chorus]
  This class isn’t fair
  We’ve gotta test on Lancelot
We live in the heat whether we like it or not
  [Chorus 2x and fading]
