I want to be a part of that red-green flag
That flies proudly since 1971.
I wish to get lost in that mesmerizing sight
And fly away with the birds in their endless flight.
I want to be a rhythm in that river
In which fishes big and small add their own flavor.
I wish to see myself amidst Sunderban’s greenery.
Which is world-renowned for its Sundari mangrove tree.
And the Royal Bengal Tiger further enhances our glory.
The achievements of our cricket team are yet another story.
I desire to flow with the Bay of Bengal
Whose sea beach is the longest amongst all.
I wish to see my land ripe with the golden fiber again
Which at a time had the world under its reign.
I want to emerge as a flower in the Shahid Minar
Which bears the fruits of the 1952 war.
Today National Language Day is celebrated all over the world.
Twenty-first February is the tribute to my brother’s blood.
I wish to be found in every sphere of my country,
To make peace, honesty and love our only boundary.
I want my country to be an eternal part of my life.
And together we will gloriously thrive.
