Never
  Never put much stock
  To things that glitter
Always thought to put a lock
  So they couldn't litter
  On my heart
  Never wanted success
Or a man by my side
  Put me in distress
  Having to say good-bye
  To my family
  Why do we fight
With the ones we love most
  Then go be a host
  To strangers on the wayside
  Thinking that is the most
We can do in a lifetime
  When did we lose sight
  Of what it was like
  To just give love
  Never thought I’d
  Have to go all alone
  To the grave to die
  When will I be home
  With my family
  Never wanted to leave
  Always wanted to stay
  Couldn’t bear to believe
  It could be another way
  Out of this hole
  Why do we fight
With the ones we love most
  Then go be a host
  To strangers on the wayside
  Thinking that is the most
We can do in a lifetime
  When did we lose sight
  Of what it was like
  To just give love
Why can’t we just give out love
